South Pike School District and Southwest Mississippi Community College are working together to ensure students succeed

The Southwest Mississippi Community College Football Team visited the Eva Gordon Lower Elementary School where they spent the morning with the young eagles. The team played games, read books, and shared their experiences on the football field with the students. It was a great opportunity for the players to emphasize the importance of education and encourage the children to work hard and follow their dreams. The visit had a positive impact on both the students and the football team, fostering a stronger bond between the school and the community. The players' efforts to inspire and uplift the next generation of leaders were truly commendable.

Additionally, South Pike High School seniors visited Southwest Mississippi Community College to explore their post-secondary education options. They toured the campus and learned more about the college's academic programs, student services, and facilities. The students were impressed by the state-of-the-art technology available in the classrooms and labs, as well as the wide range of extracurricular activities on offer. The warm and welcoming atmosphere on campus made them feel right at home. This visit was a great success, and many of the seniors left feeling inspired and motivated to pursue higher education. South Pike High School is proud to partner with Southwest Mississippi Community College to provide its students with opportunities for academic and personal growth.
